Fourth Annual Kid’s Day at Wingard’s Nursery to Benefit Carolina Wildlife Care!
Lexington, S.C. (March 30th, 2009) - Wingard’s Nursery and Garden Center is hosting a Spring Break activity to get kids outside to share the love of gardening and nature. At the Nursery’s fourth annual Kid’s Day, children will spend a fun morning planting their own garden containers, learning about wildlife conservation, eating hot dogs, and celebrating what the great outdoors has to offer. Carolina Wildlife Care will be there with many of the Center’s wildlife ambassadors, telling stories, and conducting programs throughout the morning. Animal Supply House will also be there, bringing some of our more domestic animal friends for kids to see.
Past Kid’s Day events have attracted more than 250 elementary school age children and their parents. This year, kids throughout Richland and Lexington county elementary schools are competing in a canned food drive. The school collecting the most cans of food for wildlife at Carolina Wildlife Care will win a wildlife assembly for their school.
